Air Force looking into Reaper drone crash in Nevada desert

This week the U.S. Air Force lost a unmanned MQ-9 Reaper drone during a training mission just north of Las Vegas.

According to the Associated Press, the Air Force has not released a reason for the crash and has opened an investigation.

An official from Nellis Air Force base says the crash occurred at 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday and nobody was injured.

The location of the crash was not released and an inquiry into whether the aircraft was armed or not went unanswered as well.

The drone was assigned to the 432nd Wing at Creech Air Force Base.
