Airman disciplined “for failure to refrain from urinating in the office coffee maker”

News

An Airman in Alaska was hit with the book last week for urinating into an office coffee maker.

In what seemed like something out of the comic Air Force Blues (a USAF-themed comic in which one of the deuteragonists frequently tampers with the squadron coffee), the Airman First Class in question was discovered committing the act at Anchorage Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, sometime before February 13.

Fox News reports that a USAF newsletter was sparse on details, but mentioned that the A1C  violated two articles, with one being Article 92, dereliction of duty, “for failure to refrain from urinating in the office coffee maker.”

The A1C was also reportedly AWOL for approximately five days.

The unnamed service member was demoted to E-1 and received a letter of reprimand, making it the sixth of his career.

A portion of the newsletter made it to a popular -and highly unofficial- US Air Force Facebook group.
