Former Air Force major takes plea deal after trying to trade child porn

News

A US Air Force major is now known as a registered sex offender after over half a decade of battling the court system over a child pornography charge.

Initially arrested and charged in 2014 for child pornography in Washington, DC, Major David Riley effectively ended his career.

Riley had inadvertently been caught in a child porn sting operation, heading to Craigslist to look for fellow “pervs.”

“Hi, I saw your ad,” he wrote in an email. “I’m looking for other pervs in the area. I will be visiting DC from January 27 through February 7 but will be alone. Would like to get together with other pervs and explore taboo.”

Riley, who was assigned to MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, attempted to fight the case for some time, but recently struck a plea deal in exchange for two years in prison.

According to FOX 11, Riley’s military career is over and he will now have to register as a sex offender until the day he dies.
