Videos that mock and discredit Hitler, while considered categorically distasteful by some, are richly amusing for most. After all, what historical figure is more deserving of eternal caricature?
It’s always a bonus when satire works on multiple levels. The video below manages to effectively lampoon one of history’s monsters while also landing a few rib punches against the lesser-included yet insidiously potent fascism that thrives comfortably at Al Udeid Air Base. The Air Force has created there a quasi-prison masquerading as a deployment location, with guards outnumbering inmates and enough rule-driven follies to entertain the reminiscences of its jaded survivors for the rest of time.
In other words, it’s a perfectly dystopian representation of life under Air Force Instruction 1-1.
If you’ve ever spent any time at Al Udeid, you’ll probably find this hilarious. It rings true in several places.
