
A reward of $1,000 dollars is being offered for anyone who provides in the arrest of an individual who illegally entered Alabama’s Maxwell Air Force Base, which resulted in a lockdown at the installation.
Crimestoppers is offering the reward after the incident, which involved the 42nd Security Forces Squadron having to respond to the on-base football field after a suspicious person was reported there.
The incident took place at 12:30 AM on Tuesday morning and shots were fired by the suspect during an attempt to apprehend him. As a result, the base was locked down until 3 AM, when it was determined that the suspect had left the base.
According to the Montgomery Advertiser, Montgomery Police have been notified of the incident and have been assisting in the investigation.
Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity is encouraged -and incentivized- to anonymously notify the police or call CrimeStoppers at 215-STOP (7867).
