US Air Force officer convicted of multiple sexual assaults

D’Andre Johnson

A junior Air Force officer stationed at Georgia’s Moody Air Force Base was found guilty of sexual assault this past weekend.

Second Lieutenant D’Andre Johnson of the 23rd Logistics Readiness Squadron was found guilty by a panel of his peers on two charges of sexual assault.

According to WTXL, Johnson was dismissed from service, stripped of pay and allowances, and subsequently sentenced to a decade behind bars.

He was temporarily taken into custody by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, who will hold him until he is transferred to a military penal facility.

The charges stem from two incidents that occurred in 2017.  One occurred when the victim was incapable of consenting to the sexual act due to being too intoxicated. The second, a victim did not consent to the sexual acts Johnson committed.
