Ty Reid Gilbert (Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office)

An Air Commando from Florida’s Hurlburt Air Force Base is in police custody after it was discovered he pulled a gun on a pregnant woman in the sleepy town of Fort Walton Beach.

Ty Gilbert Reid of the US Air Force 1st Special Operations Wing was arrested on the 15th of April, and is facing one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (without intent to kill).

The incident that led to his arrest occurred in January when Reid rear-ended a pregnant woman and fled the scene.

Not satisfied with the situation, the woman followed Reid, where he dismounted from his vehicle and began yelling at her. Heading into the home, Reid emerged with a Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun and threatened the woman. The same shotgun was recovered by police during the arrest.

According to law enforcement records, Reid paid a $5,000 cash bond and was released on the afternoon of April 16.
